    TCS Return (Form 143 / 27EQ).

Sellers and operators who must collect tax at source, on scrap, minerals, forest produce, liquor, specified motor vehicles or overseas tour packages, among others, file a quarterly TCS statement. From April 2026 this is Form 143 under section 394 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (earlier section 206C and Form 27EQ). We compute, reconcile and file it each quarter.

    How it works

TCS Return (Form 143 / 27EQ), step by step.

    Typical timeline

Typically 4–6 working days per quarter after sales data is shared; the number of buyers and missing PANs drive the time.

    1. 1

      Identify collections

We identify sales and receipts that attract TCS and apply the current rates, several of which changed from 1 April 2026.

    2. 2

      Check buyer details

We validate buyer PANs and apply any buyer declarations or lower collection certificates.

    3. 3

      Deposit and reconcile

We confirm tax collected is deposited on time and matches the challans.

    4. 4

      Prepare and file

We prepare Form 143 (Form 27EQ for periods up to March 2026), validate it and upload it on the e-filing portal under your TAN.

    5. 5

      Issue certificates

We download TCS certificates in Form 133 (earlier Form 27D) from TRACES for your buyers.

    Before we start

    What we need from you.

Don't have everything yet? We send a short checklist after the first call and work with what you have.

    • Sales register with buyer PANs for the quarter
    • TCS challans
    • Buyer declarations and lower collection certificates
    • TAN and e-filing portal access
    How fees work

The fee depends on your situation. After a short call, the partner who will do the work tells you what's involved and gives you a fixed fee in writing — before any work begins.

    • Government fees and statutory charges are billed at actuals.
    • When you pay — upfront, in stages or on completion — is agreed in writing with the fee.
