Virtual CFO Services
    Service

    Virtual CFO.

A virtual CFO gives you a senior finance lead who owns your numbers, cash and reporting on an ongoing basis, without the cost and commitment of a full-time hire. We scope the role to your stage: setting up controls and MIS for an early-stage company, or running budgets, lender covenants and board reporting for an established one.

About Virtual CFO. No obligation — we reply within one business day.

    Typical timeline

The diagnostic and first MIS typically take 3–4 weeks, depending on how current your books are and how quickly system access is given. After that the work runs on a fixed monthly calendar.

A partner — a chartered accountant or company secretary — from the first call to sign-off.

    Fees

    How it works

    Virtual CFO, step by step.

    Typical timeline

The diagnostic and first MIS typically take 3–4 weeks, depending on how current your books are and how quickly system access is given. After that the work runs on a fixed monthly calendar.

    1. 1

      Finance diagnostic

We review your books, chart of accounts, month-end close, controls, compliance status and cash position, and agree which gaps to fix first.

    2. 2

      Scope and calendar

We agree deliverables, time commitment and a monthly calendar: close date, MIS date, review meetings and board or investor reporting dates.

    3. 3

      Close and review

Your accounting team or ours closes the books by an agreed working day; we review ledgers, reconciliations and provisions before any number is reported.

    4. 4

      MIS and cash

We issue the monthly MIS with variance commentary and update the rolling 13-week cash forecast and the 12-month funding view.

    5. 5

      Monthly management review

A monthly meeting with the founders covers results, KPIs, cash, compliance status and decisions needed, recorded in an action log.

    6. 6

      Quarterly and annual cycle

Each quarter we reforecast and prepare board packs; each year we run the budget, coordinate the statutory audit and support tax planning.

    Before we start

    What we need from you.

Don't have everything yet? We send a short checklist after the first call and work with what you have.

    • Access to your accounting system (Tally, Zoho Books or similar) and bank statements
    • Last two years' audited financial statements and the current year's trial balance
    • Status of GST, TDS and ROC filings, and any open notices
    • Shareholders' agreement and loan sanction letters, for reporting obligations and covenants
    • Organisation chart and current finance team roles
    • Existing budgets, MIS formats or investor reports, if any
    How fees work

The fee depends on your situation. After a short call, the partner who will do the work tells you what's involved and gives you a fixed fee in writing — before any work begins.

    • Government fees and statutory charges are billed at actuals.
    • When you pay — upfront, in stages or on completion — is agreed in writing with the fee.
